Il sentiero 1025 Strada del Verdiso inizia dal centro di Combai (387 m) e si svolge percorrendo stradine e sentieri. Essi si sviluppano sia in boschi ombrosi sia nei soleggiati pendii delle colline della Calchera, di Duel, delle Serre e della Baiosa; le superfici, rivolte a mezzogiorno, sono quasi interamente ricoperte da rigogliosi vigneti per la produzione del vino Prosecco e del vino Verdiso.
Da Piazza Brunelli, scendiamo per pochi metri la Strada Provinciale 30 del Combai, che porta a Miane e Follina ed arriviamo alla Latteria Sociale di Combai – la Latteria Sociale di Combai fu fondata nel 1942 per raccogliere e trasformare il latte proveniente dalle numerose stalle locali. Dal 1986, trasformata in Cooperativa dell’Altamarca Trevigiana, promuove i tipici prodotti locali, come il formaggio, i salumi, il vino, il miele, i marroni. Nella piazzetta antistante è incavata nel muro una vasca che riporta il simbolo della Pro Loco di Combai e raccoglie l’acqua che sgorga dalle fauci di un leone in altorilievo; vasca e leone sono in pietra.
Passiamo davanti all’edificio della latteria, proseguendo per una stretta via e poi, individuato il segnavia dipinto sul tronco di un castagno, ci inoltriamo nel versante boscoso della Val Fontana.

Il bosco è composto da varie essenze arboree ed arbustive tra le quali spicca la presenza di vetusti ed imponenti esemplari di castagno e di un sottobosco rado, ricco di felci. Giunti al fondovalle percorriamo, camminando sul greto, il Fosso della Fratta fino ad incontrare una stradina, che in breve ci porta a località Vergoman (290 m) dove si trova un’antica chiesetta dedicata a Sant’Antonio abate.
Quindi si segue via Calchera, che ci porta sul fondovalle e, riattraversiamo il Fosso della Fratta, si sale alla Calchera entrando nel suggestivo ambiente della coltivazione della vite.
Un’attenta consultazione della carta dei sentieri ci permette, continuando a salire, di arrivare alla biforcazione di una strada sterrata: a destra si raggiunge Colle Ronch, mentre a sinistra si scende al Pian de Combai (389 m), dove siamo diretti. Proseguiamo e, raggiunto il Pian de Combai, un bivio ci consente, svoltando a sinistra, di percorrere la strada che sale sul pendio rivolto a nord della costa del Duel.

Arrivati sulla cresta (403 m) la si segue e, lungo il percorso, abbiamo a destra un’ampia visione del paese di Campea, della Valle del Soligo, dell’altopiano di Farrò e delle colline del Solighese; poi, a sinistra, il paesaggio si apre: individuiamo Via Calchera, la frazione di Vergoman con la chiesetta di Sant’Antonio Abate, il paese di Miane, il Santuario della Madonna del Carmine, le Prealpi Trevigiane e sulla cresta localizziamo il Rifugio Posa Puner.
Si segue quindi la dorsale verso est, per poi percorrere, nel bosco, un sentiero molto scivoloso in caso di pioggia, fino ad arrivare ad una sella dove si trova una costruzione rurale con il segnavia dipinto sulla parete rivolta a nord.
Dalla stalla una breve deviazione consente, agli appassionati, di individuare un affioramento roccioso che racchiude nell’arenaria alcuni fossili – l’intero percorso si svolge su rocce sedimentarie, arenarie e marne di ambiente marino di età compresa tra i 65 e i 25 milioni di anni. In più punti si possono osservare massi ed affioramenti rocciosi con fossili di vario tipo, tra cui spiccano soprattutto i pectinidi del genere Chlamys: si procede lungo la dorsale e dopo circa un centinaio di metri, sul bordo sinistro della stradina che si snoda tra il vigneto ed un boschetto di castagni, si ricerca il masso con i fossili.
Dalla stalletta si percorre il sentiero che si snoda, in direzione ovest e in leggera discesa, dal boscoso versante sud del Duel.
Usciti dal bosco ci si immerge tra i filari terrazzati di un rigoglioso vigneto per scendere alle Serre, dove si incontra una stradina che sale dalla strada che da Miane porta a Campea.
Al bivio sormontato da un bel ciliegio, si può compiere una breve deviazione a sinistra per vedere da vicino la chiesetta dedicata a “San Micel” – la data della costruzione della chiesetta di San Micel non è documentata ma si presume sia avvenuta intorno al 1700. L’edificio dipende dalla parrocchia di Miane e il 29 Settembre, festa di San Michele Arcangelo, si celebrava una messa propiziatoria per l’imminente vendemmia. San Michele, che in ebraico significa “chi come Dio?”, viene rappresentato dall’iconografia con la spada fiammeggiante e con la bilancia, mentre sta calpestando un drago. Seguendo l’itinerario indicato sulla carta dei sentieri, proseguiamo invece a destra e ci addentriamo nell’ambiente della coltivazione della vite, tra i filari ben ordinati e le piccole costruzioni rurali. Seguendo la strada e godendo di tanta bellezza si arriva ad una sella privata; si gira ancora a destra per risalire nuovamente il pendio del Duel. Un po’ più in basso rispetto alla strada che stiamo percorrendo, raggiungibile in pochi minuti, si trova l’azienda agrituristica familiare Riva dei Tor e poco lontano quella agricola Serre, specializzatasi nella produzione dei vini tipici locali. Aggirato il costone ovest del Duel a 372 m di altitudine, si percorre la strada che si snoda sul versante a nord e, nel varco tra gli alberi, si può ammirare uno splendido panorama sulla prativa sommità della dorsale delle Prealpi Trevigiane, sui boschi di faggi, su borgo Colmellere incastonato sul bosco di castagni, sul Santuario di Colle Ronch e sui vigneti soleggiati della Baiosa.
Giunti nuovamente al Pian de Combai si aggira Colle Ronch, si percorre il versante coltivato a vigneto, soprattutto di Verdiso della Baiosa, per poi risalire il versante posto a nord, fino ad incontrare via Miramonti, che sale a Colle Ronch da via Capovilla. In breve si scende al capitello dedicato a Sant’Antonio da Padova, che fu eretto alla fine dell’800 e che si trova all’incrocio con via Ronch. Si percorre ora la stretta via Capovilla, una volta Borgo Pedepiai, e si arriva, passando per Piazza Squillace, in Piazza Brunelli al centro di Combai, dove termina il sentiero 1025 Strada del Verdiso.

The path 1025, called “Verdiso Route” (from the Verdiso wine type) starts from the center of Combai (387 m) and follows small roads and trails, in shady woods and on the sunny slopes of Calchera, Duel, Serre and Baiosa hills, mostly covered by Prosecco and Verdiso lush vineyards.
From Brunbelli square, we go down the Provincial Combai road 30, which leads to Follina and Miane, for a few meters, and we get at Latteria Sociale of Combai (Combai Social Dairy): the Latteria Sociale of Combai was founded in 1942 to collect and transform the milk arriving from several local stables. From 1986, it was transformed into “Cooperativa dell’AltaMarca Trevigiana” (Alta marca Trevigiana Cooperative) and it promotes local products, like cheese, cold cuts, wine, honey, chestnut. In the little square in front of the Diary, a stony tank recessed in the wall bears the symbol of Combai ProLoco and collects the water flowing from the jaws of a stony lion in high relief.
We pass the diary, continuing into a narrow street and after spotting the trail sign painted on the trunk of a chestnut tree, and we move forward in the wooded slopes of Val Fontana.

The wood includes a variety of trees and shrubs among which the presence of old and imposing chestnuts stands out, together with a sparse undergrowth, rich in ferns. We reach the valley floor and we follow the Fosso della Fratta (Della Fratta Ditch), walking on the shore, until we reach a small road which quickly leads us to Vergoman (290m), a small village where there is an ancient church dedicated to Saint Anthony the Abbot.
Then follow via Calchera (Calchera road), which brings us to the valley and, crossing again Fosso della Fratta, we get at Calchera entering in the scenic surrounding of vine cultivation.
A careful consultation of the map allows us, continuing to climb the hill, to get at the bifurcation of a dirt road: on the right you reach Colle Ronch, while on the left you go down at Pian de Combai (389), our destination. We continue and we reach the Pian de Combai, where, turning left, a juncture let us to take the road which goes up on the slope facing north of the Duel Cost.
Once on the top (493) we follow the road and, along the way, on the right we have an exthensive vision of: Campea, Valle del Soligo, altopiano di Farrò, and Pieve di Soligo hills. On the left the landscape opens: we identify again Via Calchera, the fraction of Vergoman with Saint Anthony church, the village of Miane, the Sanctuary of the Virgin of the Carmen, the Treviso Alps and, on the top, the Posa Puner Refuge. We then follow the ridge to the East, then cross a trail into the woods (very slippery in case of rain), until you get to a pass where there is a rural building with the trail sign painted on the wall facing north.
From the stable a short detour allows fans to identify a rocky outcrop that contains some fossils in the sandstone- the entire route follows sedimentary rocks sandstones and marine marl, ranging between 65 and 25 million years of age. In many points you can see boulders and rocky outcrops with fossils of various kinds, among which Chlamys Pectinidi stands out: we proceed along the ridge and after about a hundred meters, on the left edge of the road that winds through the vineyard and a little wood of chestnut trees, we find a rock with fossils. From the little stable we follow the path that winds westwards, slightly downhill, from the wooded south slope of the Duel. Outside the woods you walk between the terraced rows of a lush vineyard going down to Serre, where you find a little road which goes up to a little road linking Miane and Campea.
At the fork, topped with a nice cherry, you can make a short detour to the left to see the church dedicated to “San Micel”- the date of construction of the church is not documented, but it is presumed to have occurred around the 1700. The building depends on the parish of Miane and on September 29, the day of Saint Michael Archangel, a propitiatory Mass for the upcoming harvest was celebrated. Saint Michael, which in Hebrew means “who is like God?”, is represented in iconography with the flaming sword and with the scale, while he is treading a dragon. Following the route indicated on the map we continue to the right and we walk between well sorted vineyards and small rural buildings. Following the road and enjoying so much beauty you get to a private pass; we turn right to go up to Duel slope again.
A bit lower there is the family farm Riva Dei Tor, which can be reached in only a few minutes, and just off the farm Serre, specialized in local wine production. We round the Duel west ridge (372m above sea level), along the road that winds on the north side and, in the gap between the trees, you can admire a splendid panorama: the grassy top of Treviso Alps ridge, the forests of beech, Colmere Village nestled on the chestnut forest, the Sanctuary of Colle Ronch and on the sunny vineyards of Baiosa
Again on the Pian de Combai, go along Colle Ronch and the Verdiso vineyard slope of Baiosa, then go up to the Northern slope until you reach Miramonti street which rises to Colle Ronch from Capovilla street. shortly you reach the chapel dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua, which was built in the late ‘800 and it is located at the intersection with Ronch street. Go along the narrow Capovilla street (once Borgo Pedepiai) and you get, via Squillace square, in Brunelli square, the center of Combai where the 1025 “Verdiso Route” ends.
